Theresa takes the helm at Trafford Council
THERESA Grant has been appointed as Trafford Council's new chief executive, subject to council ratification next week.
Ms Grant has been carrying out the role on an interim basis since the former chief executive, Janet Callender, left the post for health reasons last August, after being on sick leave for five months.
Leader of Trafford Council, Cllr Matt Colledge, said: “This was a unanimous decision by a cross-party panel of councillors, which reflects the level of knowledge and passion for Trafford that Theresa consistently demonstrates.”
Ms Grant said: “I am extremely excited to have secured this position and feel privileged to be able to lead Trafford Council through the challenges ahead."
Messenger reported last month that the council was advertising the post with a salary range of between £150,000 to £165,000.
