Residents have until July 11 to comment to the Environment Agency about proposed biomass energy plant in Davyhulme

A PRESSURE group is reminding Trafford residents that there is still time to comment on controversial proposals for a biomass energy plant in Davyhulme.

The Breathe Clean Air Group (BCAG) is fighting Peel Energy's application to site a biomass energy plant on land near Barton Bridge.

Last month, the Environment Agency announced it was 'minded to give approval' for an environmental permit for the scheme, subject to consulting residents.

BCAG points out that people have until July 11 to comment in writing to the Environment Agency.
