Pedestrian seriously hurt in road traffic collision

A TEENAGE pedestrian was seriously injured after a road traffic collision in Trafford Park.
The 18-year-old man was standing on a central pedestrian island at the Village Way/Fifth Avenue junction, when he was hit by a car.
He is being treated in hospital and police say his conditon is critical but stable.
An 18-year-old woman pedestrian escaped with minor head injuries.
The collision happened at about 6pm on Sunday at the Village Way/Fifth Avenue junction.
A 22-year-old woman was driving her VW Polo along Village Way, Trafford Park.
Her vehicle was in collision with a black taxi as she turned right at the junction.
The collision caused the Polo to spin and collide with the central pedestrian island where the two pedestrians were standing.
