ALTRINCHAM schoolboy Cameron Stenhouse is juggling his studies with performing in a nationwide theatre tour.

The 10-year-old, who attends the Willows Primary School in Timperley, has shared the stage with the likes of Neil Morrissey and Brian Conley in Oliver!

Dad Doug said: “Both myself and his mum Sandra are very proud of him. He got over his nerves very quickly, but he’s very modest about his achievement - he wants to get on with his schoolwork.”

Cameron attended the open auditions, and beat dozens of other hopefuls to be picked as part of the chorus.

He has so far performed in Manchester, Birmingham and Southampton and has trips to Edinburgh and Dublin to look forward to.

Doug said: “He’s willing to give anything a go. He loves football and reading. He’s also tried skiing and surfing - he was up on the surfboard straight away, a lot quicker than me anyway!”
