PUPILS at Brooklands Primary School in Sale have published a book filled with their own stories and poems which is to be sold to raise money for the Mayor of Trafford’s charity fund.
Tales of Trafford includes everything from stories about history to poems about places, plus fantasy, science fiction, mystery and comedy tales composed by the children themselves.
Mayor of Trafford Cllr Mrs Jane Baugh, said: “I am so proud of all the pupils and their teachers who have been involved in this project. The stories are so varied and exciting, showing the rich imagination of Trafford’s schoolchildren.
"I would like to thank everyone who has worked hard to see this book published, it really is a dream come true for all of us.”
Proceeds from the book will be donated to the 2011/12 Mayor of Trafford’s Charity Fund, which is this year supporting Parkinson UK & Stroke Association (Trafford), Stroke Support Group (Trafford), Trafford Carers, the Alex Hulme Foundation and Altrincham Hospital League of Friends.
