Manchester’s LEGO Show breaks world record
AFTER three busy days at EventCity, the LEGO Show broke the world record for the largest LEGO® mosaic.
The show, which welcomed 9,500 people over the bank holiday weekend (May 5 to 7), enlisted the aid of visitors to the show to help build the 143.91m2 image, which contained 660,000 LEGO® bricks.
In keeping with the sporting fever that is gripping the UK during 2012, the mosaic’s image showcased sports related minifigures.
Show organiser Warren Elsmore and four-year-old Tamara Cope from Salford are pictured fitting the last piece to the Lego mosaic.
