Meeting to put the spotlight on the future of Trafford General

HEALTH bosses have been invited to speak at a public meeting called to discuss the future of Trafford General Hospital.

Campaigners from the Save Trafford General pressure group have written to health chiefs inviting them to meet the public face-to-face to discuss their plans.

The public meeting will be held at 7.30 pm, on May 31, at Shawe Hall Community Centre, Church Road, Flixton.

NHS Trafford, NHS Greater Manchester and Central Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust said they are looking at the request to attend the meeting and will respond directly to the group.

Campaigners gathered another 800 signatures backing their Save A&E campaign on Saturday. They now have almost 4,000 names on their petition.
