Sale garden takes part in National Gardens Scheme

GARDENING enthusiast Gordon Cooke will be opening his garden gates in Poplar Grove, Sale, to visitors this Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, from 2-5pm.

This south-facing suburban garden, with its striking diagonal design, has been featured in many magazines and books.

The open days are organised as part of the National Gardens Scheme to raise money for nursing and caring charities throughout the UK.

Admission is £3.50, children free and homemade teas are available.

Full details of NGS gardens are in the “Cheshire & Wirral Gardens 2012” booklet, available from libraries and larger garden centres and on the website www.ngs.org.uk.
