Timperley woman raises £1,100 for her marathon effort

TIMPERLEY’S Emma Williams raised over £1,100 for charity after completing the Greater Manchester Marathon.
PR consultant Emma was competing in her first marathon and her efforts secured vital money for Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention.
She completed the marathon in an impressive three hours and 58 minutes.
Emma said: “It’s been a long-held goal of mine to run a marathon, so when the organisers announced that they were bringing the event back after 10 years, I took the plunge. I’ve been overwhelmed by the support and donations I’ve received – they really helped to spur me on through the ferocious Manchester weather!”
