A CANCER charity is £350 better off following a two-day fashion sale in Wythenshawe.

Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention will benefit from the show, organised by Wilmslow based ladieswear boutique, Black White Denim.

Joanna Davis, founder of Black White Denim, said: “Ever since we opened for business 18 months ago, I’ve wanted to support a local charity. Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention seemed like an obvious choice - these days everybody has been touched by breast cancer in some way.”

TV star Jenny Powell and ex Sunderland footballers Michael Gray and Chris Makin attended the event, and donned the charity’s signature pink tutu to show their support.

Genesis are the only UK charity dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, and their Nightingale Centre in Wythenshawe is Europe’s first purpose-built breast cancer prevention centre.
