Search is on for Stretford's sunniest smile Search is on for Stretford's sunniest smile

THE search is on at a busy shopping centre to find Stretford’s sunniest smile.

The idea is the brainchild of Colin McCrory, manager of the Stretford Mall on Chester Road, who wants the contest to bring some joy and happiness to his loyal shoppers.

On Saturday May 19, a professional photographer will be on a 'smile safari' at the mall to find the very best grin that Stretford has to offer - with a £200 in shopping vouchers up for grabs.

Colin said: “There are so many reasons to be cheerful about living in Stretford – it is a wonderfully close knit community which has its own distinctive identity and we are very proud of it.

“And of course it has a great shopping centre at the heart of it where our loyal visitors come back time and time again to meet with family and friends and pick up whatever they need.

“So we thought, why not search for the biggest, broadest smile, the smile that says welcome to Stretford and can really light up a room.”

On Saturday May 19, from 11 am to 2 pm, the photographer will be on hand to snap the very best of Stretford’s smiles, male or female, young or old.

A shortlist of 20 will be decided on by Colin and his busy team at the shopping centre which will then be displayed in the mall.

It will then be up to the public to decide who will be given the prestigious accolade of having Stretford’s Sunniest Smile by coming to the shopping centre and casting their votes in a secret ballot.
