Bomb disposal squad deals with suspect package on Epsom Avenue, Sale

BOMB disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion after a suspect package was found in a house in Sale.
Workmen clearing an empty house found a glass bottle with a fuse and nails inside it in the house on Epsom Avenue, at 11.40am on Monday.
A small area close to the house was evacuated and a 100 metre cordon set up.
Officers attended and bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion.
