You're hired, trust helps unemployed

TRAFFORD Housing Trust is offering unemployed teenagers in the area the chance to take part in its apprentice style programme in July.

Twelve young people will be selected and put through their paces in a challenging three week process.

They will gain valuable work experience, a qualification and a place on one of Trusts Community Panels.

After the three week process only five will be selected for a two year apprenticeship in administration and customer service position.

Mathew Gardiner, chief executive of the trust, said: “There’s a real shortage of jobs for young people and we believe our approach is a real opportunity.”

Like the BBC programme which is chaired by Lord Alan Sugar, the 12 candidates will be set a varied range of exciting exercisis.

Any unemployed tenant of the trust or Trafford resident, aged 16-19 can apply, the closing date is May 8.
