Residents urged to use water wisely
5:10pm Tuesday 17th April 2012 in News
UNITED Utilities is reassuring householders and businesses that there are no water restrictions on water use in the north west as the southern and eastern counties begin a hosepipe ban.
With reservoir levels at nearly 90 per cent across the region, the company says that there are no imminent restrictions, but residents should continue to be conscious of water use.
Richard Blackwell, United Utilities’ water supply and demand manager said: “The less water we all use from the tap, the more we can leave in the region’s rivers for the fish and wildlife that aslo depend on it.”
