FX Leisure opens Hale Country Club and Spa

A £7 MILLION health and country club is due to open in Timperley today.

The up-market Hale Country Club and Spa, which has created 80 jobs, aims to attract a 4,000-strong membership.

The three-storey complex is being opened by FX Leisure on the site of the former British Airways Silverwings Sports Club on Clay Lane.

It boasts top-of-the range facilities including three pools - a children's pool, a 25-metre indoor pool and a 'swim-through' link to a 15-metre outdoor pool.

The first floor houses a gym and studio rooms and the second floor has a spa, steam and sauna rooms and treatment rooms.

The standard membership rate is £58 a month, with a £20 enrolment fee, and £90 a month for Country membership, with a £50 enrolment fee.
