SHARP-eyed visitors to Altrincham just might have spotted a familiar face on Friday.
Former Coronation Street star Suranne Jones was filming a horror story for the BBC in a house on Oxford Road.
The Secret of Crickley Hall, based on a novel by James Herbert, will be screened around Halloween and Suranne will play the part of Eve Caleigh in the three-part series.
In the story a couple move to Crickley Hall a year after their son goes missing and after a series of strange events Eve starts thinking the house and her lost son are connected.
“The plot jumps between 1943 and the present day and we’ve just finished filming the 1943 section,” said the production’s locations assistant, Andrew Henstock.
Sarah Jordan, sales consultant at the nearby Betty and Belle lingerie shop said it was “great” to see a former star of one of her favourite shows walking past the shop.
