CORRIE stars Chris Fountain, Ryan Thomas and Rachel Leskovac joined a one million metre row in aid of The Madison Allan Memorial fund.

Along with Capital FM presenter Rob Ellis, the group joined forces with Hale Country Club & Spa to launch the row to raise money for the club’s chosen charity.

The opening leg of the row - which will be taking place at different locations across the region over the next few weeks - saw the stars sweat it out at the Great John Street Hotel, Manchester.

They helped notch up the total to an impressive 10,000 metres.

The Madison Allan Memorial Fund raises awareness for childhood cancers and is named after seven-year-old Madison Allan who tragically lost her battle against the aggressive cancer, Neuroblastoma, last Christmas.

Her family and friends made it their mission to raise awareness of the illnesses after her untimely death.
