CAPRICE might have been in town for Manchester Fashion Week but the catwalk has already been stolen by breast cancer survivor Peter Fleming.
The 78-year-old took to the runway to help relaunch Jigsaw’s menswear range at a charity event at The Triangle.
The event, which took place on March 29 also featured blackjack and a DJ set with all proceeds going to Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention.
Peter, from Sale, discovered he had breast cancer while training for 2005’s London Marathon. He said: “I feel very fortunate to have overcome the illness and am delighted to raise funds that will go towards building a future without breast cancer.”
Manchester-based Genesis are the only charity in the UK dedicated entirely to the prevention of breast cancer. Founder, Pam Glass commented: “We’re extremely grateful for the great lengths that fundraisers, like Peter and the team at Jigsaw, are going to for Genesis.”
