URMSTON resident Katie Scott, 21, has raised £1,436 for the Katie Piper Foundation by taking part in a charity skydive.

The money will go to the KPF, which was set up to help people living with burns and scars and Katie told SUM: “This was the hardest challenge I’ve done to date. I really enjoyed it and I am so pleased to have been able to raise this sum for the Katie Piper Foundation. The awareness of what the Foundation does is really growing and I am so happy to have played my part in that.”

Carol Borwick, head of fundraising at the KPF added: “The money raised will help us make a positive difference to burns survivors through life-changing treatments and workshops.”

Her skydive took place at Cockerham in Preston on March 18.
