A RESEARCH project has been launched to evaluate new cognitive behavioural therapy for bipolar disorder by Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMW).
In partnership with the University of Manchester, GMW are looking for people who suffer from bipolar disorder, or experience distressing mood swings to take part in therapy trials.
The new therapy, named TEAMS (Think Effectively About Mood Swings), focuses on thinking and behaviour patterns, whilst aiming to help people manage problematic and distressing experiences involved in mood swings.
For more information, or to take part in the sessions that date from now until September 2014, contact Anna Ridding at anna.ridding@gmw.nhs.uk or Sarah Alsawy at sarah.alsawy@gmw.nhs.uk
