URMSTON’S Breathe Clean Air Group is planning a protest march on October 1 to coincide with a global day of action against waste and incineration.
The three mile circular route will go via Davyhulme circle, the Curzon circle and Urmston shopping centre.
Supporters should assemble at 10.30am at Golden Hill Park on Park Road North for an 11am start.
Chairman Pete Kilvert said: “We are looking forward to seeing a thousand protesters on this march.
“It will be a family day with children and grannies too. We would be delighted if marchers could bring their own banners and placards.”
