FESTIVITIES will kick off across Trafford this weekend for England’s first ever Civic Day on June 25, and everyone is invited.
The Hale Civic Society will organise several ‘grot spot’ activities, including litter pick ups and some amateur gardening with Jabberwocks youth group.
Altrincham Market traders will be holding competitions for young artists.
The Bricklayers Arms and Orange Tree pubs on George Street, and Woodend Residential and Nursing Home will be throwing parties.
Over 200 civic societies will celebrate the day, organised by charity Civic Voice, with over 350 events.
