COMMUNITY groups and organisations are being offered £50,000 for the chance to kick start waste prevention and recycling projects in Greater Manchester.
After the success of the first Community Waste Fund back in September 2010, Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA) is inviting community organisations and groups to submit proposals that demonstrate a positive effect on reducing the amount of waste produced and increase re-use and recycling.
Councillor Swannick, Chair of GMWDA said: “We are delighted to announce the Community Waste Fund for 2011. This is another step towards our aim of zero waste to landfill."
