RESIDENTS in Trafford can now benefit from a new modern recycling facility to replace their old services.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) on Sinderland Road has had work done on it since early 2009.
The old facilities are now shut and have been replaced by a new building which hopes to make it “easier for residents to segregate and recycle more of their waste in a simple to use and safe environment.”
The HWRC has designed the new building to allow for 60 per cent recycling of household waste and increase performance by providing a “wider range of segregated recycling containers so users can recycle more household items more often.”
Councillor Michael Young, the Vice Chair of Greater Manchesters Waste Disposal Authority, who helped open the new site said the redevelopment was part of a “long-term recycling and waste management contract to provide world class waste facilities across Greater Manchester.”

I was told by these men that I couldn't deliver rubbish on foot so I returned on a bicycle. They still denied me entry to an establishment I part own and which they are merely employed at.
I understand that a rubbish disposal site will not attract good staff on attractive wages but the council should ensure that anyone it employs on our behalf is courteous and helpful.
