A STRETFORD pensioner has escaped unhurt after shots were fired at his home.
The 67-year-old man was watching TV at his home on Highfield Road when his home was targeted at 11.45pm on Sunday June 20.
An upstairs window and the front door was damaged in the shooting.
Police said no-one was seen in the area at the time and they did not know why the house had been targeted.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Hamer, of the Major Incident Team, said: "Incidents like this cause understandable concern in the community and we are doing all we can to find out who did this.
"At this stage there is no obvious reason why this house was targeted but if anyone was in the area at the time or has any other information about this incident I would urge them to get in touch."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Incident Team on 01618562480, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800555111.
