SALE Ladies Hockey Club played in a defiant fashion against the unbeaten Alderly Edge team.
Sale, one place below Alderley Edge in a top of the table clash proved an exciting game.
The half time score was 1-1 which meant that everything was to play for.
Jane Fylan gave Sale a goal lead.
Alderley Edge immediately fought back and the score was 2-2.
Tania O'Grady then assisted Carol Savage with Sale's third goal.
Alderley Edge then put on the pressure and fortunately a break was forced by Sale and Sue Laister followed through with a goal.
Jane Fylan scored the fifth goal in the final minute following Janet Lascelles interception on Alderley Edges attacking short corner, and three passes later the ball was in the net.
Ths made the final score 5-2 to Sale
