POLICE officers and youngsters came together to hit the high notes and spread festive goodwill across the borough.
Pupils from Forest Park Preparatory School and Davyhulme Primary School joined officers from the Altrincham Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) for the annual police carol service at St Mary’s Church in Bowdon.
Led by the Reverend Roger Preece, the free event attracted plenty of visitors keen to enjoy a mince pie and join in renditions of old favourites such as Silent Night, Jingle Bells and Away in a Manger.
The event was organised by the NPT, who created a special police themed Christmas tree with black and silver decorations and blue flashing lights.
Inspector Simon Wright of the Altrincham Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “The annual police carol service in Trafford is always a fantastic occasion during which the community joins together in voice and spreads the seasonal message of peace and goodwill to all and this year was no exception.”
