THE Friends of Walkden Gardens have produced a recipe booklet containing family favourites that have been handed down and never before published.

It includes items as diverse as green tomato chutney and elderflower champagne.

Proceeds of the £2 booklet will go into the gardens - it is available at the Christmas carol event on December 5 or in advance on 0161 905 3871.
