A NEW evening knitting group is starting in Urmston on Wednesday, November 25.

It will be based upstairs at Isinglass restaurant, 46 Flixton Road.

Entry is free, knitting starts from 6.30pm until 8.30pm and there will be food available (at a cost).

Everyone is welcome (though access is limited as this will be taking place upstairs) - but organisers are especially keen for experienced knitters to come along and share their knowledge.

Thanks to Freecycle there will be some wool, needles and patterns will be available on the night, but try to bring your own if possible.

The event has been set up by Fiona Gilmore, a volunteer with Action for Sustainable Living.
