A SALE based music photographer whose lens has captured everyone from Oasis to U2 will bare all for charity next year.

Karen McBride has begun a diet to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and will appear on the other side of the camera once she’s reached her target weight.

The photograph will be taken by the distinguished photographer Jill Furmanovsky whose celebrity subjects include punk icons The Sex Pistols and the legendary Bob Dylan.

It will eventually be auctioned to give Cancer Research UK a further cash boost.

Karen decided to adopt this particular cause because her uncle, her grandma and a friend died of the disease, “I thought if I’m going to go to all the lengths of losing weight, getting fit and looking good, I might as well put myself in front of the camera and get photographed - naked. I thought naked might have a bit more of an impact,” she said.

The photograph will be tasteful, she insists and Cancer Research UK is backing her all the way.

“It won’t be crude, it’ll be respectful. Women do the Calendar Girls style shoots and it fits in with that,” she said.

Karen started dieting last month and she hopes to raise a minimum of £3,000 for Cancer Research UK. She hopes to lose four stone by the end of April.
