Trafford Primary Care Trust appoint new chairman

RETIRED banker Terry Atherton has been appointed the new chair of Trafford Primary Care Trust.

Terry, who held a variety of senior management posts for Nat West Plc, retains several non-executive offices within organisations including the Merseyside Special Investment Fund and Beverages Direct and has also held a number of other positions within the north west in a voluntary and non-executive capacity.

Terry, who replaces Leslie Robinson who stepped down as hair after almost 10 years, said: “There has never been a more interesting time to be part of the NHS. The year ahead will be challenging and the role with Trafford PCT gives me an opportunity to put something back into my own area.”

Trafford Primary Care Trust is responsible for commissioning health services from a range of local providers and provides primary and community healthcare services to the residents of Trafford.
