Charlotte's on song for national talent contest

A GIRL from Urmston didn’t get a note wrong at a national talent competition.

Charlotte Sheridan-Boon beat competition to reach the regional finals of Idol 2008.

After her first audition the 15-year-old was called back for a second time to impress judges, including singer and producer Dane Bowers.

Charlotte’s mum, Jannette, said: “My daughter already took lessons at the Flixton Dance School so we decided to get her singing lessons, she would love to be famous for her singing talents, she will have a go at singing any type of music.”

Of the successful audition she added: “Charlotte gets a bit nervous before going on stage, but loves to sing in front of people, she was really happy, she just wants it so much!”

There is immense support from both friends and family for her upcoming regional final audition. Jannette said “There are loads of people coming down to cheer her on, I will also be having t-shirts made up in support of her.”

Regional finals for ‘Idol 2008’ take place on September 14th at The Willows, Salford.

If Charlotte triumphs she will compete in the grand final in front of thousands!

The eventual winner will be thrust into the media spotlight as they have a chance to release a single and embark on a tour of the UK.
