A POLICE car was involved in a two-vehicle collision in Broadheath yesterday afternoon.
The police car was responding to an incident with its emergency equipment on when it was in collision with a green Renault Laguna at the junction of Manchester Road and Salisbury Road, at about 3.05pm.
The occupants of the Renault - a 27-year-old man, a seven-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy - were taken to Wythenshawe Hospital to be treated for whiplash and minor cuts and bruises.
None of the injuries were serious and the man and two children were released later that day.
The police officer suffered whiplash.
The incident has been referred to Greater Manchester Police's professional standards department.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to call 0161 856 7761.
