THIS Friday, May 16, Sainsbury's in both Altrincham and Sale will be giving customers the chance to receive a free pint of its new one per cent fat milk.

As part of Sainsbury's Make the difference' day customers will be given the opportunity to sample the milk, which has almost half the fat of semi-skimmed milk.

Customers will be given a coupon, which can be redeemed against one pint of Sainsbury's own label milk or as a part payment for two or four pint cartons.

Although it contains 40 per cent less fat than semi-skimmed, one per cent fat milk retains the same amount of calcium and vitamin B.

Tim Hassall, Altrincham store manager, said: "I am delighted that we are giving customers the opportunity to try this new product and taste for themselves how great it is. I am going to be pouring it over my cereal every morning!"

Sounds disgusting. We used to buy milk that was so creamy you could take the top off the bottle, turn it upside down & no milk would spill. Now *that* was real milk not this bland excuse for the stuff the health police keep telling us is so good for us. Stuff 'em!
