PENSIONERS in Trafford are being encouraged to take advantage of a new service designed to help them use energy more efficiently at home.

The EnergyRight service has been launched by Age Concern and EON UK, the company that runs Powergen.

The initiative provides face-to-face information and practical assistance about energy use.

Trained staff and volunteers will carry out home checks, identifying steps to boost energy efficiency.

After the home visit, residents will also be referred for a Benefit entitlement check.

To book a free home energy check contact Karen Duffy at Age Concern Trafford on 0161 746 9752 or karenduffy@ageconcerntrafford.org.uk
