MOTHERCARE at Altrincham Retail Park has launched a massive closing down sale with everything in store reduced.

The Altrincham Retail Park store has been confirmed as one of 60 Mothercare branches to close nationwide, cutting 900 jobs in the process.

A closing date has not yet been announced, but the Altrincham store has commenced with its closing down sale this week.

Customers can expect to find a huge range of discounts and bargains as all stock must go before the Altrincham store closure.

According to store management, stock levels are high so there is plenty of choice and customers are advised to take advantage of the heavy discounts as soon as possible, as some of the most popular ranges may sell out fast.

Any product warranties or guarantees will remain valid and can be returned at any Mothercare store.

A spokesman for Mothercare Altrincham said: “This is a great opportunity for our dedicated customers to pick up some amazing deals as everything is reduced. Demand will be high, so don’t wait to grab a fantastic deal.

"We thank our customers in the local area for their continued support for the Mothercare brand and advise that we are open 24 hours, seven days a week online at mothercare.com.”

The nearest Mothercare stores to remain open will be at Junction Nine Retail Park in Warrington and Manchester Fort Shopping Park in Cheetham Hill.

The retailer for prams, pushchairs, car seats, baby clothes, maternity clothes, nursery furniture, toys and gifts and has been a staple on the high street since 1961.
