POLICE swooped on a home in Partington last night after receiving reports of a disturbance.
Four police cars and a van descended on Cranberry Road, off Moss Lane, at 7.30pm after receiving reports that a man was in an acute state of distress.

A police spokesman said: "Shortly before 7.30pm on Thursday, August 9, police were called to reports of the concern for the welfare of a man on Cranberry Road in Partington.
"Officers attended and ensured the man was safe and well."
Police confirmed that no arrests were made and nobody was harmed.
