THE ANNUAL Sale Festival Pub Quiz was held at the Belmore Hotel in Brooklands Road Sale this year.
There were plenty of entries from many teams but the quiz crown went to Universally Challenged, led by Angela Muirhead. But only after a nail biting tiebreaker with The Extra Extras team.
Universally Challenged were awarded the Ken Garrity Travel Trophy, formerly the
Carlton Travel Trophy.
This is the third time in four years that Universally Challenged have scooped the trivia trophy.
Angela Muirhead, quiz team leader, said: "I was delighted to have taken part and even more
excited that the team won the trophy and £50 from the Sale Festival committee.
Ken Garrity, director of Ken Garrity Travel, said: "It is a delight to be able
to award the trophy to the winning team. This annual fun event grows bigger each year and we look forward to next years event."
