A LARGE cannabis farm was discovered after police raided a home in Old Trafford on Monday.

GMP officers from the Old Trafford neighbourhood team entered the three-bed, semi-detached home in Kings Road and seized more than 120 large cannabis plants.

According to police, the plants had an estimated worth of £75,000 in street value.

The offenders had also breached the electricity supply by digging underground into the street mains.

PC Walsh, of GMP Trafford North said: "I know people have different opinions of cannabis but I have seen the effects that cannabis has had on the mental health of people I know in Old Trafford over time, so I'm pleased with this seizure."
