TRAFFIC was at a standstill as dozens of cows enjoyed a leisurely stroll on the A675 Belmont Road towards Bolton this morning.
A driver filmed the bizarre scene at 7am and said that there was no farmer in sight.
He said: “It was just down from San Marino on Belmont Road, just near the Bleachworks.
“The herd was unaccompanied, most cows were using the pavement with an odd one or two criss-crossing the road holding up traffic for a few minutes. It was quite funny.”
