ONE of Trafford’s oldest golf clubs has undergone a £150,000 make-over with a refurbished clubhouse boasting a new luxury bar and restaurant.

The new-look clubhouse at Ringway Golf Club in Hale Barns was revealed at a launch evening on Friday, May 18.

To celebrate the refurbishment, members, staff and their guests were wined and dined in the chic new bar and dining area, where they enjoyed bubbly and canapés while listening to live jazz music.

Judith Wainwright, Ringway President, said: “We are delighted to launch our fantastic new bar, lounge and restaurant.

“We’re sure that the visitors who hire our clubhouse for family celebrations and all of our members will love the new features.”

The new facilities have a capacity to hold 150 guests and are available to hire for any function.

Clive Westbrook, Captain of Ringway, said: “This is a big step forward for the club. All of the main areas of the clubhouse have been redesigned in an attractive, modern style and with great new features such as full air conditioning and up-to-date audio-visual facilities.”

Linda Bennett, this year’s Lady Captain, said: “It’s been a huge effort by the project team to have this update ready for the summer but everyone can now see that it’s been well worth it.

“We’re really looking forward to enjoying our new bar and dining areas.”

Ringway, situated close to Manchester Airport, was established in 1909 and is open 365 days a year. It currently has over 650 members.
