A NEW supermarket will open in Sale today, creating 12 jobs.
The £625,000 investment will see the Co-op open the store, at Cross Street, which will include a bakery, Costa coffee dispenser and a focus on fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas, award winning wines and, essentials.
Stephanie Hatch, Co-op store manager, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to carry out such a significant investment in Sale - we are really looking forward to welcoming members and customers into the new Co-op.
“We are proud to be part of the community, and our ambition is to ensure our store is a local hub, a real asset locally.”
The Co-op will donate 1 per cent to local good causes from members shopping, which are set to include St Hugh’s Primary School, Art with a Heart and Broadheath Community Association.
