A SPRING fair is being held by a Trafford animal sanctuary on Sunday, April 15, from noon until 4pm.
The event, which is being organised by the Society for Abandoned Animals, includes stalls, fun and games, raffles, tombola and a bar.
A spokesman for the sanctuary said: “Earlier this month, we opened our new cat rehoming unit which means that we now have a total of 20 cat rehoming pens (up from 16 previously) and 13 quarantine pens (up from 3 previously), this means that we can now rehome more cats but the expansion also means that our costs will increase dramatically.
“This means that our events are now more important to the sanctuary than ever because it costs the sanctuary more than £470 a day to stay open, for which we rely completely on our own fundraising efforts.”
The sanctuary is based at Mosley Acre Farm, Barfoot Bridge, Stretford, Manchester, M32 9UP.
