THE son of a Hale woman missing for two months has made a heartfelt plea for her to return home.

Mum-of-two Marie Scott, aged 58, went missing from Sandileigh Avenue at noon on Monday December 18.

Despite sightings in both Manchester and Bury shortly after her disappearance, she has still not been found.

Yesterday, the family, including husband Jim, who was due to celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary later this month, along with sons Stuart, aged 37 and James, aged 20 made their appeal.

Stuart said: “Mum, I love you, I’m missing you, I’m here for you I can help build a new life for you. I’m here to support you.

“I care for you so much, you’re in no trouble whatsoever. Please contact me and please phone me directly, I’m here for you mum.

“We really feel that she’s out there. She may feel that she’s in trouble. She’s in no trouble whatsoever.

“Thanks so much for the public and we hope for some positive news soon.”

Mrs Scott was seen boarding a tram in Altrincham on the day she went missing at 12.30pm. She got off at Deansgate at about 12.45pm.

She made her way to the Blacks store, where she spoke to a couple at about 1.07pm, before walking around the Castlefield area.

Mrs Scott then boarded a tram at Deansgate at 2.18pm to Victoria Station where she then caught a black cab to Bury.

The taxi dropped her off in the area of The Rock shopping centre where she then walked along Rochdale Road, towards Openshaw Park.

The last sighting of her was outside It’s a Baby, in Rochdale Road, at the junction with Heywood Street, at 3.15pm.

Detective Sergeant Dave Jones, of Stretford CID, said: “Marie has a loving, supportive and caring family who are heartbroken at the fact they still don’t know where she is.

“It has been two months of hell for them and despite extensive CCTV inquiries, water searches, posters, numerous press appeals and speaking to residents, we sadly still don’t have answers.

“We hold out hope that we will find Marie and bring her home safely. We will help her in any way we can and I would again urge the public to please look at the CCTV, look at the pictures of Marie and cast your mind back to December 18.”

Mr Scott said: “I really want you back Marie to celebrate that anniversary. We’ve missed Christmas and New Year and your birthday so to get back for this it would be the best wedding anniversary present ever. Please get back or let us know you’re still safe.

“We just want to move on, rebuild our lives, forget the past few months, move forward or move house, we’ll do anything to make life easy for you. Please get in touch.”

Anyone with information about Mrs Scott's whereabouts should contact police on 101 quoting MP/17/0111851. Reports can also be made anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
