THE family of a man who died in a collision in Partington has paid tribute to him.

Cole Porter, aged 21, was killed after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car at the junction of Moss Lane and Harwick Road on Christmas Day.

Shortly before 1.45pm, Mr Porter was riding a white Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle in a south-easterly direction along Moss Lane.

At the same time a blue Peugeot 206 was travelling along Hardwick Road.

As the Peugeot reached the junction, it was involved in a collision with the motorcycle.

Mr Porter was taken to hospital following the incident, and died some time later.

The driver of the Peugeot stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made.

Paying tribute to him, Cole’s family said: “Cole was a loving son, a caring brother and a loyal friend.

“He was passionate and driven, with the world at his feet. He had the softest heart and a laugh that would fill up the room.

“He meant everything to his friends and even more to his family, and will remain in our hearts forever. Our beautiful boy.

“We are heart broken and would appreciate privacy at this devastating time.”
