LOCAL charity Once Upon A Smile are to host a cracker of a free pantomime for shoppers at intu Trafford Centre this weekend.

Emmerdale’s Danny Miller and Daniel Jillings, best known for his part in ITV’s Prey, are co-founders of the bereavement support charity and have devised the show, ‘The elf that saved Christmas 2’, to raise awareness and funds for the charity for a fourth year running.

The charity was recently announced as one of intu Trafford Centre’s three partner charities for 2018, alongside ABF The Soldiers Charity and TDAS (Trafford Domestic Abuse Society).

The panto will take place on the stage in the Orient at 1pm Sunday December 17, where both Danny and Daniel will be joined on stage by fellow actors Michael Warrinder of Emmerdale, Laura K Ainsworth from Doctors and Mark Sheals from In the Dark and Brief Encounters.

Alison Niven, regional centre director at intu Trafford Centre, said: “Sunday’s pantomime is a fun, free, festive day out for all the family which also comes with the added benefit of raising funds and awareness for Once Upon a Smile. This charity is one that’s incredibly close to the hearts of everyone at intu Trafford Centre and we’re delighted to work so closely with them for another year running.”
