SANTA called into Altrincham on Saturday, November 18, at Rackhams' first floor café/restaurant - courtesy of Altrincham Rotary Club.

Lots of families and children came to see him.

The most unusual request he heard was from a little boy who said he wanted a real pig for Christmas.

The staff at Rackham dressed up in Christmas outfits, with one dressed as a giant Christmas tree.

Sarah the Rackhams café/restaurant manager was delighted to have hosted Santa and even gave sweets to the children.

President Steve McHugh of the Rotary Club was delighted that they could bring Santa along to Altrincham and pleased with the turnout. Santa will be appearing on other dates and places in Altrincham .

Santa was then asked to go on the stage in Stamford Quarter Square for the lights switch on, together with Brooke Vincent from Coronation Street, Mike Toolan from Key 103 and Lauren Simon from the Real Housewives of Cheshire. Santa picked out the winning ticket for a £500 prize to be used in Altrincham.

Santa will appear next at Wilkos Saturday, November 25 12-4pm; on December 2 at the House restaurant, Goose Green, 12-4pm; and December 9 at Cheshire Tap, Kings Court 12-4pm.
