TRAFFORD estate agent Gascoigne Halman is supporting the One Big Wish Appeal this Christmas.

The appeal is a fundraising campaign for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and aims to raise funds to support specialist virtual reality and pain distraction therapy equipment for young patients, helping to take their minds off the painful treatments and procedures they face during their time in hospital.

To support the charity, it is asking members of the public to make a monetary donation or donate a toy for the hospital.

John Halman, managing director of Gascoigne Halman said: “We are looking forward to supporting Royal Children’s Hospital Charity again this year. In 2012, we raised £9498.08 for the charity, and we are hoping we can make a big difference to the children and their families who might be going through a difficult time in hospital.

“After the bomb explosion at the Manchester Arena, the majority of the children injured from the attack were treated at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. All of the doctors, surgeons, nurses, and staff did an incredible job during those very stressful and difficult times, and we look forward to giving something back to such an amazing place.”

Sarah Naismith, head of charities for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, commented on Gascoigne Halman’s support. She said: “We are delighted that Gascoigne Halman is supporting the One Big Wish Appeal this year. Big or small, every donation will help give our patients and their families a special experience when they are at the hospital.”
