SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog
THANK you to everyone who took time out to release balloons for Josh's third anniversary on Friday.
So many special photos and kind messages, we were overwhelmed.
It was so wonderful to find out over his anniversary weekend that Josh's special bath had now been reinstalled in its new home ready for its new owner Alex who also Bury to chill out in.
Through Josh's brain tumour surgery, he was left with severe physical disabilities, his scoliosis caused him so much back pain, so it was important to have a specialist bath to help him relax and relieve the weight from his spine.
I have many precious memories of him chilling out, listening to his iPad playing tunes, relaxing, in no pain and so happy.
This came at a cost though, totalling £9,000 for the full installation, bath and shower tray facility.
Only made possible by everyone's hard work and fundraising as part of Josh's House adaptation work in 2013.
Following me leaving our home of 14 years earlier this year, it was important that his bath was donated to another family to use.
Josh's Charity facilitated the removal and donated it to Alex's family and I am so happy to see it now installed in a wonderful bathroom.
Another part of my amazing boys legacy living on!
