WITH last year’s sell out success, the Fizz Festival will once again return to Altrincham for its third year.

The Town Hall on Market Street will hold the two-day festival on November 18, 12noon – 3pm and 4pm – 7pm and again on November 19, 12noon-3pm and 4pm – 6pm, plus the Fizz Festival People’s Choice Awards.

There will be a pop-up food area, live music and a range of masterclasses, with over 100 wines available to try and buy from Cava and Prosecco through to award-winning English sparkling wine and Champagne.

Guests will also have the chance to vote for their favourite wines at the Fizz Festival People’s Choice Awards that are presented at the end of the festival.

There are three awards up for grabs, Best Champagne: Sponsored by Slater & Gordon, Manchester, Best Sparkling Wine UK: Sponsored by Altrincham based, Lund Bennett and Best Sparkling Wine Rest of World: Sponsored by The Real Algarve in Hale Barnes.

Award winners from last year, Thienot, Hush Heath and Red Squirrel Wine, will be welcomed back to this year’s event as well as local suppliers, Veeno, Oddbins and Booze & Burn.

There will also be new industry experts including: Wines of Brazil, Skyfall and Fox and Fox.

Cracking Wines owner and Fizz Festival organiser Janet Harrison said: "The festival has a modern feel with no snobbery and a fun and relaxed atmosphere. It really does attract those who want to know more about their favourite sparklers and what better way to do that and stock up for Christmas at the same time?"

Tickets are £25 with a reduced rate of £15 on the later Sunday session. Early bird deals are also available. For tickets visit: thefizzfestival.com/events/fizz-festival-altrincham-18th-19th-nov
